Addressing nurse-to-nurse incivility in an academic hospital in Gauteng Province to promote a respectful workplace culture

Abstract

Workplace incivility has a negative effects on the organization. Workplace incivility undermines the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of nurses. Workplace incivility reflects an uncaring encounter which has become more visible and prevalent over the years. As nurses both individually and collectively we have the responsibility to demand caring encounters among nurses.
