dc.description.abstract 1. The biological values of yellow maize and white maize are given for some eleven varieties grown under South African (summer rainfall) conditions. 2. The results indicate that there exists a significant difference in the nutritive value of the proteins of some of these varieties, but that these differences are not associated with the colour of the maize. en_ZA
