dc.description.abstract Babesia bigemina was retained in the vector Boophilus decoloratus for a complete generation despite the use of the babesicide, imidocarb dipropionate, to prevent reinfection. This drug did not sterilize ticks of the B. bigemina infection as has been suggested for B. bovis. en_ZA
