facility for permission to conduct surgery and sample the sick ring-tailed lemurs.
Dr. LaFleur is an assistant professor at the University
of San Diego, California, USA, and the founder and director of Lemur Love, a US-based nonprofit
organization conducting research, conservation, and
small-scale development in Madagascar. Her research examines the ecology of wild ring-tailed lemurs and the legal and illegal trades of wild-captured lemurs
in Madagascar.
