dc.description.abstract |
Photograph depicting a cupboard with ball-and-claw feet, and doors with fielded panels and shaped tops. It has quite an elaborate cornice with carved key block, and linenfold drawers. An unusual feature is the apron moulding that breaks into the bottom drawer. It is similar in style to the one depicted in Fig. 156 on p. 126 of the 1960 edition of prof. Geoffrey Pearce's book "Eighteenth Century Furniture in South Africa". |
