dc.description Nicolaas Pieter Johannes van Rensburg (1864 - 1926) was famously known as Siener van Rensburg, a prophet that predicted the Anglo Boer war and even the death of General Koos de la Rey in the 1914 rebellion. The head was originally formed in clay and was carved in 1918 into marble. Eloff gave Siener van Rensburg as a gift to his niece Elsie Eloff .
