dc.description	This drawing of a simplified African female figure, resembling African sculpture, clearly shows that Bettie also experimented with African form in the early 1970s. In her attempts to find the essence of her themes she continued to experiment with ways of simplifying form and emphasizing expressive line.	en_ZA
