Abstract:
A taxonomic
revision of the Calvatia complex in southern Africa, following a comparative morphological
approach, has led to the adoption of a broad generic concept comprising thirteen species.
Conservation of Calvatia against the older names Omalycus and Lanopila has been proposed.
