dc.description.abstract In the process to survive, organisations are dependent on what happens in their environment in which they operate. There are a number of critical components in the changing role of organisations that are, creating a decision-making culture, the aspects of co-ordination and integration, leadership style element, service delivery element, human resource development and personal dedication. The complexity of change will increase and will ultimately influence every organisation. The manager of the future will have to be skilled in managing change in an ever-changing environment. A future-orientated focus and mentality are required to enable a manager to meet the challenges in an active way instead of a passive way by simply reacting to change. en
