dc.description.abstract The South African construction industry is becoming more competitive with more contractors joining the industry every year. Contractors are tendering for jobs with lower profit margins to remain competitive. The quality of workmanship is a very important aspect of the construction company’s reputation and profit margin. It is very important that construction companies maintain a high standard of construction quality to remain competitive. This research report investigates Total Quality Management as management tool that can be employed by construction companies to increase the level of quality employed on construction projects. en_US
