Description
Clinical history : A 3 month old male with supported breathing and attacks of apnea a month after birth.
After investigation, a pansystolic murmur was found over the pericardium with no sinosus.
The patient was experiencing heart failure and was provisionally diagnosed of ventricular septal defect.
The child later developed bronchopneumonia.
Autopsy findings : 1. Transposition of the great vessels with an overriding pulmonary artery over the ventricular septal defect (Taussig-Bing syndrome).
Diagnosis: Taussig bing anomaly
