Description

Clinical history : A 45 year old male with bilateral endocarditis.
He had suffered with water hammer pulse, enlarged liver and neck swelling.
The patient also had an arterio-venous fistula in his right arm.
Blood works show staphylococcus had grown with led to acute heart failure.
Autopsy findings : 1. Acute or chronic bilateral endocarditis with perforation of the valve segment of the aortis valve and a small aneurism of the aortic valve.
2. Local myocardial fibrosis and necrosis.
3. Old infarction in the spleen and kidneys.
4. Bronchopneumonia.
Diagnosis: Acute or chronic bacterial endocarditis with perforation of one of the aortic valve segments and a small aneurism of the aortic valve ring
