Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 69 year old white male patient complaining of acute abdominal pain.
Laparotomy showed intestinal infarction due to thrombosis of mesenterial vein 50% intestinal resection with reanastomosis was performed.
Initial post operative response was favourable but seven days later hypertension and renal failure developed.
Autopsy findings : 1. Mesenterial venous thrombosis and interstitial infarction.
2. Subacute peritonitis.
3. Analgesic nephropathy.
4. Centrilobular liver cell necrosis.
Diagnosis: Analgesic nephropathy
