Abstract

Description

Clinical history : A female child patient with swelling of the abdomen and feet for two months.
Investigation shows there is edema of the legs and a liver which was palpable with many ascites and 1 + albumin in the urine and showed hypo-albuminia with high levels of alpha 2 and gamma globulin.
Autopsy findings : 1. Tuberculosis ulcaration of the ileum and colon.
2. Pronounced threatening tuberculosis lymohadenitis of the mesenteric and para-aortic lymph nodes.
3. Tuberculosis bronchopneumonia.
4. Millary tuberculosis of the liver, spleen and pancreas.
5. Pronounced fatty liver.
Diagnosis: Tuberculosis enteritis and moving tuberculosis lymphadenitis with malabsorption or protein loss enteropathy
