Description

Clinical history : The patient was a female 35 years old; bilateral adrenalectomy for Cushing syndrome was done in 1968.
Skin pigmentation developed and diagnoses of Nelson syndrome made.
During examination for pituitary tumour she developed haemorrhage in the pituitary gland with subsequent hypopituitarism.
She died soon afterwards.
Autopsy findings : 1. Adenoma of the pituitary gland with haemorrhage.
2. Bronchopneumonia.
Diagnosis: Adenoma with Nelson syndrome
