Description
Clinical history : A 75-year old patient had left sided mastectomy for breast carcinoma in 1970.
Post-operative radiotherapy and from 1975, chemotherapy was given.
In 1982 the patient was admitted into hospital with wide spread metastases.
She previously had a left sided hip replacement.
Autopsy findings : 1. Metastatic breast carcinoma in lungs, liver, bones, adrenal gland, skin and lymph nodes.
2. Left sided hip replacement.
3. Frontal brain atrophy.
Diagnosis: Hip joint replacement.
