Description
Clinical history : A 35 year old feamle with a radical bilateral masectomy after having breast carcinoma.
The carcinoma then developed into a terminal stage and spread to the bone and brain and received cytostatic treatment.
Autopsy findings : 1. Metastatic carcinoma of the breast and eventually bone, lung, liver, spleen and peritoneum.
2. Spreading spleen infraction due to tumor infiltration.
3. Microscopic metastasis in the mediastinal lymph nodes abd adrenal gland.
4. Acute pyelonephritis with papillary necrosis.
Diagnosis: Wide spreading spleen infection as a result of tumor infiltration
