Abstract

Description

Clinical history : A 6 year old male with multiple masses in the abdomen and was diagnosed with nephroblastoma.
There was pronounced ascites present and multiple palplable lymph nodes in the neck.
The intravenous peylogram had shown no deviation.
Autopsy findings : 1. Large masses in both kidneys and thyroid.
2. Tumor infiltration of the mediastinum, mesenteric, para-aortic and peripancreatic lymph nodes with direct infiltration of the duodenum and liver.
3. Tumor infiltration of the lymph nodes.
Diagnosis: Lymphosarcoma of the Burkitt type
