Description

Clinical history : A 26-year-old male with long history haemoptysis but chest X-ray examination was negative.
Sudden onset of anaemia and dyspnoea preceded rapid deterioration and X-rays showed bilateral lung opacities.
The patient died with signs of shock.
Autopsy findings : 1. Bilateral intrapulmonary haemorrhage.
2. Rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (Good pasture syndrome).
Diagnosis: Intrapulmonary haemorrhage and rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (Goodpasture syndrome)
