Description
Clinical history : A male patient 22-years of age was admitted with gallop rhythm and pericardia/ rub.
Diagnosis of mitral stenosis with incompetence was made.| The patient died unexpectedly.
Autopsy findings : 1. Chronic rheumatic valvulitis of aortic valve with infective endocarditis and perforation of one valve cusp.
2. Secondary incompetence of mitral- and tricuspid valves.
3. Hypertrophy and dilatates of both ventricles.
4. Chronic venous congestion.
