Description
Clinical history : A 49 year old male with complaint of chest pain and cough not responding to antibiotic: treatment The patient worked at the abattoir in the section wherie discarded carcasses, were destroyed. Intially he responded to treatment for heart failure and tuberculosis:
Autopsy findings : 1. Tuberculous pericarditis.
2. Bilateral apicalpulmonary tuberculosis.
3: Miliary tuberculosis affecting lungs, liver, spleen, kidney, lymph nodes and bone marrow.
4. Tuberculous lymphadenitis.
5. Bilateral pulmonary embolism.
Diagnosis: Apical lung tuberculosis with miliary spread and pulmonary embolism.
Tuberculous pericarditis
