Description
Clinical history : An 11 year old male with a history of hypospadias and presented with epileptic attacks.
Investigation of blood pressure showed a 140/100 and the possibility of impairment of the kidney was considered.
Due to the history of drowsiness, the dosage of phenobarbitone was reduced and later discontinued.
The patient passed after an epileptic attack.
Autopsy findings : 1. Unilateral agenesis.
2. Right pyelonephritis with local renal hypoplasia.
3. left ventricular hypertrophy.
4. Acute interstitial myocarditis.
Diagnosis: Unilateral renal agenesis.
Left ventricular hypertrophy.
Pyelonephritis with folioed hyperplastic of the remaining kidney
