dc.description.abstract	According to the Census 2011, conducted by Statistics South Africa (StatsSA) more than a decade ago, the total population of South Africa was 51.8 million. The latest census by StatsSA was conducted from March to April 2022, but the official Census 2022 data was not available at the time of writing this country report.	en_US
