dc.description.abstract Dr Bisschop, a student of the University College of the Transvaal, worked under Sir Arnold Theiler as an assistant in the animal hospital at Onderstepoort. In 1926, after 2 years at Onderstepoort, Sir Arnold Theiler sent him to Armoedsvlakte to take charge of the newly instituted bonemeal feeding experiments. In 1929 Bisschop visited Sir Arnold Theiler in Berne. en
