dc.description.abstract	Constant live-weight has been used as criterion in measuring the maintenance requirement of adult sheep during winter. It has been found that an animal weighing 100 lb. requires 2.106 lb. of a grass hay, containing 1622 Calories of metabolizable energy, to maintain its weight at an approximately constant level.	en_ZA
