Abstract
In the course of experiments on the chemotherapy of infections due to T. congolense and T. vivax, it was observed that infected animals, some considerable time after treatment or even without treatment, made spontaneous recoveries. The purpose of the present article is to record various instances of spontaneous recovery observed by the author. Details are given in tables. No cases of auto-sterilization have been observed in T. bruccei or T. equiperdum infections of equines, A number of cases of auto-sterilization is recorded in T. virax infections of bovines and T. congolense infection of bovines and ovines.
