dc.description.abstract	The geographic, genetic, dietary and cultural background is described of the three important racial groups of the Cape Peninsula in the south-west tip of Africa. Such characterization is the starting point for interracial studies designed to define the striking differences between Europeans (Whites), Cape Coloureds and Bantu in morbidity and mortality.	en_US
