dc.description.abstract This presentation deals with the origin of Access, its benefits, the two routes to Open Access as well as the implementaion at the University of Pretoria. It also focusses on the role of the cataloguer in this process - especially at the Uiversity of Pretoria. It concludes that cataloguers should maintain awareness of new developments such as Open Access and see it as a new opportunity for their unique skills. en_US
