Open Access and how it affects your citations

Abstract

Johanna Kuhn, Sales Executive for BioMed Central, has more than three years’ experience of working with academic and corporate libraries and has been promoting Open Access in various countries in Africa, but also in parts of Europe. Her presentation "How does Open Access affect your citations?" dealt with: BioMed Central as an Open Access publisher; An introduction to Open Access; Open Access and journals’ impact factors; How does Open Access affect citations?; University of Pretoria membership; BioMed Central journals; and BioMed peer review and publishing process.
