Tests were conducted under steady state conditions. Theoretical model of surface cooling by evaporating microjet impingement in the stagnation area is developed. Experiments were conducted using nozzle size of 70 and 100μm. Results of experiments were compared with predictions of the model showing a good consistency.6 pagesPDFenUniversity of PretoriaSingle water microjetSurface coolingEvaporating microjet impingementHeat transferStagnation pointRapidly evaporating microjetModel of heat transfer in the stagnation point of rapidly evaporating microjetPresentation
