One arguably revolutionary innovation has been the advent of the Internet. The Internet along with various other Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) has drastically changed the operations of private business, government and the non-profit sector. These organisations have chosen to utilise ICTs to survive in an increasingly dynamic, demanding and complex world. Furthermore, organisations have seen expectations for value and quality of services rise from their various stakeholders (Devadoss, Pan, & Huang, 2003). In response, governments, businesses and charities alike have invested in ICT solutions with the hope of fulfilling some of the expectations of their stakeholders.en© the author(s); published under a Creative Commons NonCommercial 4.0 License (CC BY-NC 4.0).E-GovernmentICT for developmentMunicipalitiesInformation and communication technology (ICT)E-government implementation : a reflection on South African municipalitiesArticle
