We aligned 403 cytb sequences from 29 species and found multiple potential conserved hybrid primers (< twofold degeneracy). The best set was selected, and successfully amplified and sequenced ~ 1100 bp of cytb in the Siganidae.en© Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2019.
