2025-11-272025-11-27http://hdl.handle.net/2263/106017Clinical history : A 60 year old patient transferred from Weskoppies hospital with complaints of abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding.Examination showed a large tumour in the lower abdomen with infiltration of the vagina.Cervical carcinoma was diagnosed and the patient died before any treatment could be given.Autopsy findings : 1. Poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of cervix with infiltration of bladder, vagina, rectum and parametrium.2. Acute suppurative endometritis.3. Acute haemorrhagic cystitis.4. Metastatic squamous cell carcinoma in liver, lungs, pleura and omentum.5. Lymphatic tumour infiltration in mediastinal lymph nodes.Diagnosis: Carcinoma of the cervix with infiltration of the bladder and rectal wall.Acute endometriosis.Acute haemorrhagic cystitisM223: Bladder, uterus, vagina and rectum
