The study aimed at understanding the phenomenon undertook a path of understanding the behaviour of the companies and through the concept of dynamic capacities and the extent to which value can be created through adopting digital transformation in investee companies. This study explored and adopted an exploratory, qualitative research design, the data was gathered from 15 semi structured interviews with companies that are theme investees and experts in the field also referred to as investors of SA Inc. Three various components (1) Digital transformation, and how this relates to (2) decision making and lastly how (3) institutional investors can help drive how these companies can reinvent themselves for new revenues and competitiveness to gain or retain market share.
