Specific attention is given to the reformed practice as developed by John Calvin. A cursory look is then given to the pastor-shepherd imagery of the New Testament, before an attempt is made to deconstruct the practices of home visitation. As part of this process of deconstruction, the hermeneutic communicative building blocks of a missional ecclesiology are investigated and special attention is given to the public gatherings of the church as first place of testimony. Finally, a scheme for the further deployment of ecclesiological mission fulfillment is discussed.AfrikaansSociety for Practical Theology in South AfricaMissionale alternatiefHuisbesoekMissionêre ekklesiologieMissional alternativeMissionary ecclesiologyMission of the church -- South AfricaPastoral theologyVisitations (Church work)Reformed Church -- MissionsBible -- HermeneuticsMissionale alternatief vir huisbesoek?
