Barnard, Onderstepoort staff member. Born on 14/9/1907 at Lydenburg he obtained his BVSc degree at the Veterinary Faculty, Onderstepoort in June 1932. He joined the Division of Veterinary Services (24/6/1932) and for seven years was a Government Veterinary Officer in South Africa stationed mostly in East Griqualand.
