One new species, Spilophorus pringlei sp. n., and one new subspecies, S. plagosus vrystaati subsp. n., are described. A key and illustrations to the species and subspecies are provided. The male of S. grandis Schein, 1949 is described for the first time. A new subgenus, Spilophorus (Prospilophorus) subgen. n., is established.enEntomological Society of Southern Africa.
