2025-11-272025-11-27http://hdl.handle.net/2263/106608Clinical history : A male child 6 years old has history of tuberculosis affecting the hilar area of the right lung.The condition cleared after treatment but atelectasis of the upper lobe of the lung remained.Bronchogram revealed cylindrical bronchiectasis and upper lobe lobectomy was performed.Autopsy findings : Upper lobe of right lung with fibrosis in the hilar area and total bronchial obstruction resulting in bronchiectasis.The bronchi contain inspissated mucus.Some smaller bronchi show partial obstruction.Histological examination revealed the presence of loose connective tissue but no remaining tuberculous infection.Diagnosis: Sections show only signs of fibrosis and no remaining tuberculous infection was found.M130: Upper lobe of right lung
