A new subfamily - Trachypharynginae - of the Strongylidae is created. New subfamilies of the Strongylidae are also created, viz. Gyalocephalinae, for the genus Gyalocephalus Looss, and Colobostrongylinae for the genus Colobostrongylus Sandground.
