The effect of starvation on the blood sugar and ketone body levels of wethers’, Onderstepoort Journal of Veterinary Research, vol. 29, no. 2, pp. 259-267.0330-2465http://hdl.handle.net/2263/55197The articles have been scanned in colour with a HP Scanjet 5590; 600dpi. All the animals, including No. 2 displayed no visible clinical symptoms throughout the starvation period. It would thus appear that an eight day period of fasting is not capable of inducing a true hypoglycemic ketosis in normal, non-pregnant, non-lactating sheep.en© 1962 ARC - Onderstepoort and Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria (original). © 2016 University of Pretoria.
