2025-11-272025-11-27http://hdl.handle.net/2263/106594Clinical history : A 25-year old woman with two year history of leg pain.Radiological examination showed osteoporosis and clubbing of fingers.Blood tests showed raised calcium value 12mg. % and phosphate 1. 9mg. % and diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism was made.Surgical exploration of neck revealed parathyroid adenoma which was removed.Post operative cardiac failure did not respond to treatmentAutopsy findings : 1. Focal myocarditis.2. Severe osteoporosis and slight osteomalacia and osteitis fibrosa.3.
