The Seebeck and spin Seebeck effects are considered in both current-in-plane and current-perpendicular-to-plane geometries. The corresponding thermopower and spin thermopower in the macroscopic limit of electronic transport are also considered. Physical origin of the spin effects is discussed in detail.enPolish Academy of Sciences.
