Eloff, FanieMoloney, Melita2016-07-072016-07-0719102011http://hdl.handle.net/2263/54408This large creation in wood of a fireplace and mantelpiece of a nude male holding a large oval mirror was probably the only work Eloff ever created in this medium. It is presumed that this is his earliest known work as a young man that he created just after his arrival in Paris. Eloff originally sculpted the work in plaster and commissioned a carver to fashion it in wood.890 mmWoodCopyright of the electronic version, University of Pretoria.WoodFireplaceSculptureManSculptors -- South AfricaArts, Modern -- 20th centuryFireplace mantelpieceStill Image
