(Industrial and Systems Engineering))--University of Pretoria, 2008.This project used the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, financial ratio analysis, Six Sigma and Lean to analyze Hall Longmore’s supply chain performance and activities. The company’s financial and supply chain performance was then benchmarked against its industry, and it was found that they were underperforming and that inefficiencies existed. Improvement suggestions were made with regard to process, information and planning. These suggestions included the removal of the make-to-stock process at Hall Longmore, increased communication and collaboration in the supply chain and better information gathering with regards to perfect order fulfilment. A Monte Carlo simulation was also designed to aid procurement in decision making.enCopyright: University of PretoriaSupply chain managementPerformance managementProcess managementSupply chain operations reference modelSix Sigma softwareMonte Carlo softwareSupply chain analysis at Hall LongmoreText
