Neoehrlichiosis was diagnosed by PCR on 16S rDNA from bone marrow aspirate. Phylogenetic analysis indicated an organism closely related to Candidatus Neoehrlichia. Clinicians should be aware of possible ehrlichiosis even in immunocompetent patients.en© 2023 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.NeoehrlichiosisZoonosesVector-borne infectionsBacteriaCandidatusNeoehrlichiaEhrlichiosisTickborne infectionsSouth Africa (SA)SDG-03: Good health and well-beingNeoehrlichiosis in symptomatic immunocompetent child, South AfricaArticle
