It uses advanced logit modelling to capture travel behaviour change in a more theoretically tractable manner than the conventional four-step method. The model is designed specifically for fast implementation, with limited calibration needs, to assess a wide range of strategies including transport investment, land use strategies, and management interventions such as high occupancy vehicle lanes or road pricing. A prototype application of the UPTrans model as part of a demonstrative urban and regional growth modelling exercise for the Gauteng Global City Region is described.11 pagesCD ROMenUniversity of PretoriaSustainable transportPrototype transport modelHigh-level evaluationTravel behaviour changeUPTrans modelGauteng Global City RegionTransportation -- South Africa -- CongressesUrban transportation -- South Africa -- CongressesTransportation demand management -- South Africa -- CongressesChoice of transportation -- South Africa -- CongressesUptrans: an incremental transport model with feedback for quick-response strategy evaluationEvent
