The theme is relevant, since there is confusion as to what theology is or should be. Although his theological contribution remains under attack, Bultmann often complained of being misunderstood. Therefore it is necessary to read his work carefully and to reconsider his approach. The author started with themes Bultmann discussed in his lectures on theological encyclopaedia, published posthumously, and elaborates on them with reference to his other published work.Afrikaans© 2015.
