Leaving aside controversies that are either political or personal, Zajas argues for a critical discussion of these events. Two visions of non-fiction have emerged out of the heated debate: adherents of the genre’s progressive ‘hybridisation’ acquiesce to Kapuściński poetic licence, while opponents see it necessary to delimit fiction and non-fiction.
