This dissertation investigates the trauma experienced by adolescents in Kraaifontein and how it impacts their understanding of God and their behaviour. The impact of trauma in the life of the adolescent cannot be ignored, instead it must be addressed and a theology of trauma developed, to understand how the local church can better develop adolescent discipleship approaches. Approaches that are not one mold fits all, but instead seeks to understand the individual and allow the Gospel to permeate their hearts at that level.en© 2023 University of Pretoria.
