Eloff, FanieMoloney, Melita2016-07-072016-07-0719402011http://hdl.handle.net/2263/54225Eloff made a copy of his Love’s Anguish for his friend Lilian Segonne since she was a great admirer of this work. While he was still busy creating this work, the Second World War (1939-1945) broke out and Eloff was forced to leave Paris in May 1940 without completing the sculpture. Mme Segonne donated Woman’s Anguish in 1959 to the Pretoria Art Museum.360 mmMarbleCopyright of the electronic version, University of Pretoria.Lilian SegonneSecond World WarSculptors -- South AfricaArts, Modern -- 20th centuryWoman’s anguishVrouesmartStill Image
